The Cloud Data Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and secure data solutions on cloud platforms. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud technologies, data architecture principles, and a strong background in data management and analytics. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient data architectures leveraging cloud services. Responsibilities: Design and implement cloud-based data architectures that meet business requirements for scalability, performance, reliability, and security. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs, requirements, and use cases. Develop data models, data flows, and data integration strategies to support business objectives. Evaluate and recommend cloud-based data technologies, tools, and services to optimize data storage, processing, and analytics capabilities. Design and implement data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and transforming data from various sources into actionable insights. Define data governance policies and best practices to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Work closely with data engineers and data scientists to deploy and operationalize machine learning models and analytics solutions. Implement data security measures including encryption, access controls, and monitoring to protect sensitive data. Optimize data storage and processing costs by implementing efficient data storage and resource utilization strategies. Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployment, monitoring, and management of data solutions on cloud platforms. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members on cloud data architecture best practices. Stay updated on emerging trends and advancements in cloud data technologies and recommend innovative solutions to drive business value. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree preferred. Proven experience as a Data Architect or Cloud Architect with a focus on designing and implementing data solutions on cloud platforms. Strong understanding of cloud computing principles and experience with major cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Experience designing and implementing data warehouses, data lakes, and data marts on cloud platforms. Proficiency in data modeling techniques and tools such as ERwin, ER/Studio, or PowerDesigner. Hands-on experience with cloud-based data technologies such as Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Azure Synapse Analytics, or Snowflake.
