Title : VB.Net Developer Location : North Andover, MA (Onsite ) Contract Duration: long term Job description : Develop and maintain VB.NET applications and components in alignment with project requirements and specifications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, design solutions, and implement software enhancements. Utilize strong technical skills and expertise in VB.COM, VB.NET, C#, and ASP.NET to architect and develop robust software solutions. Integrate with external systems and APIs, ensuring seamless data exchange and system interoperability. Write complex SQL queries and stored procedures for MS SQL Server, MySQL, and other relational databases to support application functionality. Test APIs using tools such as ReadyAPI to ensure reliability and functionality. Provide support and maintenance for existing applications, troubleshooting issues and implementing bug fixes as needed. Participate in the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design,development, testing, deployment, and support. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices, continuously improving technical skills and knowledge. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 5 to 8 years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on VB.NET and the .NET ecosystem. Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to stakeholders. Strong knowledge of C#, MVC, Web API, Aurelia JS, Xamarin, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL Server, MySQL, Elastic search, REDIS Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures for MS SQL Server and MySQL databases. Experience with APIs, including testing and integration, using tools like ReadyAPI. Exposure to the car rental or automotive industry and familiarity with GDSs and EDI integrations are a plus. Knowledge of mobile application development cycles and experience with Xamarin is advantageous. Familiarity with version control systems such as Team Foundation Server (TFS). Experience working on support projects, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
