From: Rachna, TheStaffed [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Must Be local to Chicago Client: FHLBC Please share a photo ID with all Submissions Any Visa No H1 This position is responsible for maintaining existing Splunk processes, creating enhancements to the current environment, and working cross-functionally with the Infrastructure and Automation Engineering (IAE) team to train the engineers on best practices, admin work, incident management, and general Splunk knowledge. This includes working from a Scrum-based backlog to address backlog requests and feature enhancements in three-week sprint intervals. Engineers are expected to interact with business stakeholders to ensure the Banks technology requirements are being met. The work will also include making performance, security, and platform updates to existing Splunk processes in both the on-prem and SaaS versions. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of hands-on Splunk experience, some context-building automation processes to connect other monitoring platforms (SolarWinds, DataDog, Service Now) with Splunk, a working knowledge of Python development, and some practical Cloud Experience (preferably Amazon Web Services). This position requires a hybrid (2 days in office | Tuesdays and Thursdays) at their downtown Chicago office near Ogilvie Transportation Center and Union Station. Primary duties include: Splunk Admin Management Splunk Dashboard and Alerting Configuration AWS Integration with SaaS APIs Knowledge Transfer and Collaboration Skills Clear Communication with Business and IT Stakeholders Software Requirements: Splunk Admin (3-5 years) Batch/Bash Script Python (knowledge preferred) PowerShell (knowledge preferred) Experience Requirements: 3 to 5 (or more_ years developing in Splunk on-prem and/or Splunk SaaS. Hands-on work in one or more cloud environments (AWS, Azure). Experience in reading/understanding code (Python/PowerShell). Experience using YAML, JSON, and APIs programmatically. Ability to pair programs within an Agile team to achieve team goals. Excellent technical and non-technical communication skills. 4-year college degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience. Splunk Cloud Certified Admin preferred.
