Required skills:- Strong experience in migrating on-prem SQL systems into Azure data platforms (PaaS & IaaS). Experience in data migration tools/methods to migrate on-prem data to the cloud with minimal downtime to applications. Experience in analysis, capacity planning, designing, and configuration of Azure SQL database systems. Extensive experience in automation tools like Terraform. Set up & manage SQL Server Always On Availability Groups (AAG) and Distributed AAG (DAAG) methods. Strong experience in performance tuning. Automate day-to-day migration-related activities. Set up monitoring and alerting of Azure databases. Build and automate database maintenance jobs in Azure (Ex: backups, index maintenance, update stats, check db.) Good to have some level of exposure to any one of these no-sql platforms Cosmos DB, MongoDB, Cassandra. Good to have some level of exposure to architecting/building containerized database solutions.
