They have an existing platform and they will be developing the new generation. #2 Global Team (~15 people) through all phases (proof of Concept --> Demo --> Design/Dev --> Mfg) India, Shanghai, France, US team #3 All Functions experience - working cross functionally with all departments involved - Development engineers, SW Quality, Product Managers, Marketing, Supply Chain, field service, etc... Disqualify - Banking, Healthcare, business. Has to be a product platform development. PM for key programs for (new controls platform) next generation of controls for the Chillers. Four Phases past the proof concept stage, almost at the demo stage. Headed to a full global program. They own all phases and they need a strong PM that has managed a new system/platform to this level. Platform application: - Has a smart control that control those systems, looks like a thermostat but is doing minimal operations. This is a hardware computer with hugh end cpu memory, cellular wifi capabilities that is controlling the hvac system and also collecting data and sending to the cloud systems. Also has displays to monitor the system and control and configure it if something needs to be changed. This will be controlled by a touch display. - This will be used across multiple programs not just one, is for multiple different products globally as well. Company is looking for a highly motivated and results driven individual to work with the Commercial Controls Engineering team in Charlotte, NC, to support projects focusing on controller hardware and software design and development for embedded HVAC systems. We are seeking a highly skilled, versatile and experienced Project Manager with a background in the manufacturing industry to oversee and coordinate projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing projects across multiple cross-functional teams, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality control. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to drive project success and meet organizational objectives. As the Project Manager, this individual will manage the project through the conceptualization, design, development, testing and validation on our Commercial HVAC systems. The selected individual should possess broad experience in managing projects in an industrial environment, specifically for embedded control systems and have a track record of collaborating with geographically dispersed development teams. This Project Manager position is critical as the individual is expected to work closely with product development engineers, software quality assurance, product managers, supply chain, quality, and field service representatives to develop products that fulfill customer, manufacturing, service, and regulatory requirements. The main responsibility of this individual will be to manage the day-to-day activities of the project to ensure that the development process delivers a high-quality product that meets defined requirements. EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS Bachelors degree in engineering, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications in PMP and Six Sigma highly preferred. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 5+ years of experience in Project Management 10+ years of professional experience Proven experience as a Project Manager in the manufacturing industry, with a demonstrated track record of successfully managing complex projects from initiation to completion. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and product development lifecycle. Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, Monday.com) and MS Office Suite. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate cross-functional teams. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely. Solid organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail. Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus. Proficient in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics.
