This role focuses on leveraging native public cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to ensure a seamless, efficient migration of our on-premises workloads. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of public cloud architectures, services, and migration strategies, demonstrating a proven track record in cloud migration projects. Responsibilities: Cloud Migration Strategy: Develop and implement cloud migration strategies that align with business requirements, emphasizing the use of native cloud services and tools. Public Cloud Expertise: Demonstrate expertise in one or more public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), utilizing their services for optimal migration outcomes. Infrastructure Assessment: Assess existing infrastructure and applications for cloud readiness, identifying opportunities for optimization and scalability in the cloud. Migration Planning and Execution: Lead migration planning and execution with a focus on minimizing downtime, leveraging cloud-native tools for automation and orchestration. Security and Compliance: Ensure migrations comply with security policies and standards, implementing cloud-native security tools and best practices. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Document migration processes and share knowledge with internal teams to foster a cloud-first culture. Qualifications: Experience in cloud migrations with a focus on native public cloud services. Deep knowledge of at least one major public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Certified Architect). Strong background in scripting and automation (e.g., CloudFormation, ARM templates, Terraform). Excellent communication and project management skills. VPC / Network / Firewall / vlans Nice to Have: Experience with Kubernetes and containerization strategies for cloud migration. Background in implementing cloud governance and cost management practices.
