Title: IT Business Analyst Location: Remote (occasionally onsite) Duration: Long-term contract Looking for locals to washington state Job Description: This position will serve as an expert Information Technology Business Analyst within the IT Service Management / REMEDY Modernization project using expert, specialized knowledge, experience, and expertise in IT Business Analysis based upon International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA), Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK) methodology to: Develop process models of business processes; Develop workflow models of business processes; Develop conceptual and logical data models; Develop business rules models; Perform scope management; Define functional interaction requirements specifications; Define non-functional requirements specifications Perform requirements management; and Develop business requirements using techniques such as: i. Process mapping ii. Workflow modeling iii. Conceptual and logical data modeling iv. Business rules modeling v. Use case modeling vi. Scope management vii. Requirements management Skills matrix: The following working experience and/or demonstrated skills are mandatory: Expert level of experience, (minimum of 8 years), as an Information Technology Business Analyst, performing IT business requirements elicitation, business process analysis and data analysis in the implementation and integration of enterprise- scale, software application, implemenation, or integration projects. University level or equivalent formal training in business analysis. Expert level knowledge, (minimum of 3 years), and demonstrated experience in the creation and maintenance of International Institute of Business Analysis(IIBA), Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK) framework deliverables Expert level of experience, (minimum of 8 years), that includes process mapping, workflow modeling, conceptual and logical data modeling, business rules modeling, use case modeling, scope management, and requirements elicitation and management Technical background/experience (minimum 8 years), that includes supporting application development, data base administration, or data modeling , in activities such as the design, development, testing, and implementation of a wide variety of information technology systems. Demonstrated understanding of requirements elicitation and interview techniques with a wide range of audiences including from front line workers to executive staff. Demonstrated understanding of requirements management techniques such as traceability matrices. Expert level of experience in Microsoft Office applications including visio Excellent verbal and written communication skills Prior experience using requirments management softare such as SPARX Enterprise Architect or Jama The following working knowledge and demonstrated skills are desirable: Current International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) OR Current certification as a Project Management Institute - Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) certification. Experience in implementing Cloud-hosted business process migration in Software as a Service (SaaS) implementations utilizing Google, Amazon, or Microsoft cloud hosting technologies. Certification as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Experience in the creation of business requirements for Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitations.
