Lead Business Analyst (Media Asset Management)

Location: NYC NY

Duration: Contract

Provide technical, operational and project/product management support to deliver A+E programming to all consumer platforms.  Support a portfolio of applications and
services to produce, store and manage digital content used for domestic and international monetization.  Gather, document, and analyze technical/business requirements
to build workflows and solutions to monetize A+E content.  The qualified candidate will identify opportunities to
streamline technical and operational processes through automation, standardization, and documented SOPs/SLAs.  Work with various business units (e.g., Marketing/Sales, Content Distribution Services, Broadcast Ops, Production/Creative/Archive Services)
to collect project requirements and translate them into actionable technical plans. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Technical, Operational, Business, Vendor) to build and support automated IP-based workflows.

MORE ABOUT WHAT YOULL DO:

Provide primary support to the NY Production Operations team responsible for
managing and maintaining technical workflows within the A+E media supply chain.

Collaborate with internal business teams to assess the feasibility of product/service launches based on technical, operational, and financial requirements.

Analyze business requirements, processes and workflows and provide suggestions for improvement.  Identify opportunities where process, technology, systems development/enhancements can
lead to increased efficiency and productivity.

Provide proactive/reactive support related to the design, implementation, and management of delivery workflows.  Supervise operational support activities to increase end-user productivity
while minimizing defects and outages.

Work with management to drive product roadmaps including feature enhancements and workflow architecture.

Improve data gathering and reporting capabilities to identify patterns, analyze trends and determine root causes of service impacting issues.

Manage requirements-gathering activities through interviews, standups, workshops, and existing systems documentation.

Act as a liaison between customers and software development teams to log, prioritize and track feature requests for custom and commercial applications. Supervise User Acceptance Testing
to ensure functional requirements are met.

Document detailed use cases that cover all alternate/exception flows. Supplement use cases with real world scenarios.

Work with QA to develop and implement test plans, cases, and schedules, based on intimate knowledge of system functions and workflows.

Onboard and integrate
third party vendors into A+Es end-to-end supply chain to globally distribute content to all consumer platforms.

Understand the functions and processes supported by existing systems ecosystem, including technical/operational constraints of existing systems.

Consistently maintain central repository of system, project, and business signoff documentation.

Work closely with Development teams to implement product enhancements and troubleshoot customer impacting issues.

Stay abreast of new and
emerging technologies to determine if/how they can be integrated into the EMS tech stack to support revenue-generating business initiatives.

YOUR STORY: [+BEHAVIORS] (what you need to have)

5+ years of experience in a role supporting media technologies (linear and/or non-linear).

Strong knowledge of technologies related to asset management (MAM,DAM&PAM), cloud (AWS, Azure), metadata (XML, JSON) and media publishing solutions.

Familiarity with AirTable database functionality and end-user support.

Understanding of encoding, transcoding, automated QC, and high-speed file acceleration technologies.

Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC) including Waterfall, RUP, and Agile/SCRUM methodologies.

Ability to manage capital and operational budgets.

Experience leading cross-functional tech teams.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication skills and customer focus.

Collaborative team spirit with a willingness to share information transparently.
