Job Title: Cloud Engineer Location: Lansing, MI (Candidate must be local) Client: DHHS/ State of Michigan Requirements: 7+ years of Cloud technologies experience, preferably in AWS. Implement infrastructure as code using tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of AWS resources. Ensure that cloud solutions adhere to security best practices, including data encryption, identity and access management (IAM), network security, and compliance with relevant regulations. Optimize the performance of AWS resources and applications by tuning configurations, leveraging caching mechanisms, and implementing scalability features. Experience with AWS services like S3, EC2, VPC, LAMDA, Amazon manage streaming for Apache Kafka (MSK), B11ROSA(OpenShift) , EKS or ECS Fargate, ECR Implement cost-effective solutions by analyzing AWS pricing models, right-sizing resources, leveraging spot instances, and implementing cost monitoring and optimization strategies. Implement monitoring and logging solutions using AWS CloudWatch, AWS Config, and other tools to ensure the health and performance of AWS resources, as well as troubleshoot issues as they arise. Experience with installing and configuring Elastic stack on a containerized environment. Experience in writing customized filters on Logstash. Working knowledge on all the Elastic agents. Familiarity with Kubernetes concepts such as Pods, Deployments, Services, and Persistent Volumes. Skill in building, managing, and troubleshooting Docker containers.
