Candidate must be local toNew Jersey Mainframe/CobolDeveloper Hybrid Client: State of New Jersey - NJAOC Job ID: 728258 Location: Trenton,NJ Duration: 1+ years (Multiple Year Contract) Interviewmode: webcam JobDescription Contractorwill be responsible for analysis, design, coding, component & assemblytesting of all application code owned by the App Team. Must have EXCELLENT experience with all of the following: COBOL, CICS, DB2& Stored procedures, CICS, MQ Note:Hybrid role - Remote 3 days / wk. Onsite 2 days / wk. Contractor will be required to collaborate and provide technical expertise tothe ITO and ATCSU unit to develop a technical solution to implementbusiness/system requirements. All contractor personnel will be under the directsupervision of a Project Manager for the AOCs Information Technology Office(ITO) or other designated ITO representative. The Mainframe consultant will develop and/or receive program specificationrequirements. These specifications will describe the coding to be done.Contractor will be required to deliver new or modified programs, successfullyunit test their work, develop supportive documentation, and participate withthe users in the system testing of their programs. Experience with database conversions is desired and helpful. Qualifications and Skills: *Hands-on experience in coding, testing and debugging programs written inCOBOL/CICS/DB2. *Experience with IBM OS/JCL (MVS) and IBM/DB2. *Experience in extracting and documenting business rules extract from COBOL/DB2programs *Experience in Usability Testing (participate with the users in the systemtesting of programs) The ideal candidate can: * Hands-on experience coding, testing and debugging MQ programs *Hands - on experience in coding, testing and debugging programs written inCOBOL/CICS/DBE *The consultant must have the ability to clearly and effectively communicateboth written and oral with technical and non-technical personnel. Responsibilities: - Attain a complete understanding of the Criminal/Probation system andadditional Judiciary applications to develop from the business/systemrequirements. - Develop and/or receive program specification requirements. - Contractor will be required to deliver new or modified programs. - Successfully unit test their work and system testing of programs with users.Develop supportive documentation.
