Title: Python Developer Location: Jersey City, NJ(Onsite) Duration : 3+ months contract Visa Restrictions: No H1b/CPT Job Description: The Python Developer will ensure that software solutions meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements while coding solutions, conducting unit tests, and facilitating successful integration into the overall application/system. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in development and testing practices specific to the banking industry. Key Responsibilities: Develop and deliver complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Ensure software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. Code solutions, conduct unit tests, and ensure successful integration into the overall application/system with clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces. Maintain familiarity with development and testing practices specific to the banking industry. Essential Skills: 5+ years of software development experience. Experience in Regulatory Transaction Reporting in CFTC/EMIR/MIFID jurisdictions. Good working experience with OTC derivative products using any Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) language. Alternatively, a minimum of 2 years of experience specifically in Python programming language (not limited to scripts). 3-5 years of Object-Oriented Programming experience. BS in Computer Science or related field. Strong knowledge of version control systems such as Git, SVN, etc. Proficiency in testing methodologies including unit testing, integration testing, etc. with a focus on test automation. Experience with Agile development life-cycle. Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Familiarity with regulatory rules and applications. Ability to work independently as a self-starter, collaborate effectively as part of a global team, and demonstrate successful delivery of significant enterprise-scale projects to end-users.
