Duration: long Term Client: Carnival Cruise Lines Phone and skype JOB SUMMARY: Brief statement about the job and its role within the business As a Senior Dev/Ops Engineer your focus is to provide support, engineering, maintaining the shore and fleet OpenShift clusters deployment and future projects related to OpenShift.The role will also involve collaborating with other development / apps teams on onboarding process of new application into OpenShift. The role will also include strategizing, capacity planning, resource quotas and OpenShift licensing utilization. needs deploying platform as a service (openshift/kubernetes) Platform as a service, redhat openshift, HAS to have Openshift OCP (openshift container platform) ZERO cloud experience needed May need them to go to a ship to troubleshoot but little travel, must have a passport Required: Minimum 3 Years experience in OpenShift/Kubernetes/Containerization In-depth knowledge of OpenShift administration and management. Installing Clusters Updating Clusters Connected and Disconnected Managing nodes Maintain GitOps/ArgoCD Managing Quay Excellent OpenShift troubleshooting skills. Strong understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Experienced with Azure DevOps / building CI/CD pipelines Experienced with shell scripting, Ansible or relevant scripting languages Solid understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles Openshift Certification is plus Importance Major Action and Support Actions % of Time (Must equal 100%) 1. Provide engineering and administrative support of the OpenShift platform deployed on shore, fleet and cloud. 2. Design, build, and manage our OpenShift environment, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security. 3. Automate deployments and configuration management using tools like Ansible and GitOps 4. Collaborate with developers to integrate OpenShift with CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery. 5. Troubleshoot and resolve OpenShift related issues. 6. Financial Reporting: Prepare and present clear, concise financial reports for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and financial metrics. 7. Monitor and maintain the health and performance of the OpenShift clusters fleet, shore and cloud. 8. Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial policies, regulations, and standards, maintaining a high level of accuracy and integrity in financial data. 9. Stay up-to-date on the latest OpenShift features and best practice. 10. Assist in onboarding developers / new apps / new teams into the OpenShift platform. 11. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive automation, continuous integration, and deployment, optimizing our OPENSHIFT environments for maximum efficiency cost and performance 12. Maintain Security of cluster via Advanced Cluster Security (ACS) and Advanced Cluster Management (ACM) governance policies DECISION-MAKING: What type of decisions does this job regularly make Select one by clicking the most appropriate box and giving an example of each.
