Location: New York City, NY Hybrid Position Overview: As a SQL Server Developer cum DBA, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of our database systems. You will be responsible for writing and optimizing SQL and T-SQL queries, both simple and complex, to support our applications and business operations. Additionally, you will be involved in database administration tasks, ensuring the performance, security, and reliability of our databases. Responsibilities: Develop, test, and optimize SQL and T-SQL queries to meet business requirements and performance goals. Design and implement database solutions to support new features and applications. Perform database administration tasks, including monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting database performance issues. Ensure the security and integrity of our database systems, including implementing access controls and data encryption. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, to design and implement database schemas and data models. Develop and maintain database documentation, including data dictionaries, schema diagrams, and technical specifications. Participate in the planning and execution of database migration and upgrade projects. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in database development and administration. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Proven experience as a SQL Server Developer or Database Administrator. Strong proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL and T-SQL queries. Experience with database design, normalization, and data modeling. Familiarity with database administration tasks, including performance tuning, backup and recovery, and security management. Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) is a plus. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
