Role Overview: As an Engineer, you will be responsible for Linux administration, Kubernetes/container orchestration, Ansible automation, and managing Bigtop and HDFS environments. You will play a key role in maintaining and optimizing systems to ensure smooth operations for our clients. Key Responsibilities: Utilize your 5+ years of industry experience to provide expert-level support and administration for Linux-based systems. Implement and manage Kubernetes/container orchestration platforms to deploy and manage containerized applications efficiently. Develop Ansible playbooks and automation scripts to streamline system configuration and deployment processes. Manage Bigtop deployments and Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS) configurations for big data processing. Troubleshoot and resolve system issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain system reliability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that meet client requirements. Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in Linux administration, containerization, and big data processing. Essential Skills: 6-8 years of experience in the IT industry, with a focus on Linux administration and containerization. Proficiency in Linux system administration, including shell scripting and package management. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms. Familiarity with Ansible automation for configuration management and deployment. Experience with Bigtop deployments and HDFS configuration for big data processing. Desirable Skills: Certification in RedHat Linux or related technologies. Experience with other containerization tools like Docker or OpenShift. Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools for system performance optimization.
