Looking to have both contractors through the end of the year and then convert after that. Candidates must be able to convert without sponsorship. Open to non-local candidates that can travel onsite for a few days once a month (will be responsible for hands-on configuration). However, LOCAL profiles will take first priority as there is a hands-on troubleshooting component to this role. Required: o Must have strong ZScaler experience (ideally targeting 5+ years). o Must have strong Palo Alto firewall experience (targeting 7+ years). Preferred: o LOCAL profiles that can work onsite in a hybrid capacity will take first preference. Interview Process: o Video interview (potentially 2 rounds). Additional Notes: o No requirement for Bachelors degree or any certifications. Years of experience/education and/or certifications required: 7+ years experience with network and security planning, design, and implementing LAN, WAN, network security, and wireless network infrastructures. Working knowledge of SD-WAN technologies Understanding of micro segmentation Required Skills: Experience with network and security planning, design, and implementing LAN, WAN, network security, and wireless network infrastructures. Hands on and working knowledge experience with firewalls, proxies, routers, switches and WAN connectivity. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical subject matter to non-technical audiences. Ability to understand enterprise security requirements, develop designs and solutions that align with and meet requirements for IT and business strategy. Ability to work extended hours or weekends if necessary. Preferred Skills: Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, CISSP Working knowledge of network security connectivity with cloud providers. Working knowledge of SD-WAN technologies Understanding of micro segmentation Description: Provides technical design, implementation and life cycle support for network security solutions (firewalls, IDS/IPS, etc.) Applies IT knowledge, specialized technical experience, research, and analysis to create technical solution specification that meets requirements. Knowledgeable in common tools that support area of expertise. Drives implementation and provides technical support for escalated operational incidents and problems. Monitors and reports task assignment progress and status as required and escalates risks and issues to key stakeholders.
