The application is used by about 1400 Gas and Electric Distribution designers to do everything between completion of the design and delivery of the job package to the construction crew: determine materials and labor required; cost out the project; order the materials; create the job package; generate contracts for signature for all reimbursable work; handle the project accounting; etc. EES is currently built on SAP tools (ABAP and UI5), and integrates with several SAP modules, most significantly Work Management. Qualifications: SAP background Electric Ops background Electric and Gas distribution experience at a utility company Knowledge of assets involved and the front end processes (project design and estimating; field inspections; etc) vs the back end construction or performance monitoring. Asset Registry Responsibilities: Manage the changes and improvements needed to EES, which are frequent due both to regulatory decisions and to the age of the application. Guide EES towards the future architecture needed as PG&E moves to SAP S/4 HANA over the next three to four years. That architecture discourages integration with and customization of core SAP functionality and encourages moving applications either off SAP technology or to a more modular structure based on SAP Business Technology Platform.
