Please let me know your interest in the below role- CAPPS PeopleSoft Financial Analyst Location: Austin, TX(Hybrid) Duration: Long-term contract Visa: USC,GC, GCEAD,H4EAD & OPT *******ONLY CANDIDATES LOCAL TO AUSTIN, TEXAS NEED APPLY ******** General Description : ERS is working on a project to implement the statewide financial system (CAPPS) to meet business and financial reporting needs. The Worker will help design and document the necessary financial functions for the CAPPS financial system that satisfies the unique business needs of ERS accounting and general finance business processes. This role will advise Finance management on the decisions related to the implementation. Functional Responsibilities Coordinate with functional and technical teams when working on a business process that requires collaboration. Analyze and recommend process improvements or redesigns for the efficient use of the CAPPS financial system. Identify data requirements and provide support for report development for different financial reporting needs Attend all internal and external implementation meetings related to the CAPPS financial system implementation Document and report implementation activities to finance management and staff. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to design proposed solutions with Finance, Information Systems, and other staff. Assist in translating business requirements into proposed solutions. Work with teams of ERS Finance SMEs and Comptroller staff to complete the configuration of various CAPPS modules. Work with ERS team to populate the test region of CAPPS with financial balances to allow for testing. Monitor CAPPS testing before implementation and document results, working with teams of ERS Finance SMEs and project managers. Propose and build solutions governed by ERS enterprise architecture and information security principles and requirements. Follow all organizational Standard Operating Procedures relative to approvals and reviews, as well as all change control and agile project processes. Produce expert-level, detailed systems documentation using Visio or Sparx Enterprise Architect. Produce support documentation and train ERS Finance staff to maintain the product. Complete information security training as administered by ERS. II. CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Requirements: Candidates that do not meet or exceed the minimum stated requirements (skills/experience) will be displayed to customers but may not be chosen for this opportunity. Years Required/Preferred Experience 6 Required Years of experience in system or data analysis, including the ability to reverse engineer business processes 6 Required Years of experience in identifying alternative solutions and analyzing feasibility to improve business and/or system processes 5 Required Years of experience in accounting or finance, including performing duties or providing system support for those functions 4 Required Years of experience in ERP, CAPPS or PeopleSoft financial system implementations 3 Preferred Years of experience in state government or working on project with state government 3 Preferred Able to identify and define the tasks and deliverables to be incorporated into the overall solutions delivery work plan. 3 Preferred Demonstrated high level of integrity, ability to work with ambiguity, and strong sense of confidence to deliver on responsibilities. 3 Preferred Must have excellent documentation and communication skills. Special Requirements/Work Environment Work is performed in a hybrid office/home environment. Performs on-call or scheduled after hours work as required. TERM OF SERVICE: Through implementation of the CAPPS financial system, scheduled December 2025. WORK HOURS AND LOCATION: M-F 8:00 5:00 PM, 200 E. 18th St, Austin, Texas 78701 ERS is currently under a hybrid model, which involves at least 2 days per in the office, and the other days working from home (Days to be in office to be negotiated with your manager). Full remote exceptions will be considered for candidates with demonstrated ability to deliver. If remote is determined by ERS to not be delivering successfully, hybrid on premise will be expected.
