| Client: Virginia Retirement System: Location: Richmond, VA Hybrid: 2 days onsite per week. This role is a 6 month with a potential contract to hire. This company does not sponsor so h1bs will not quality for this role. For a Lead Developer (MUST HAVE LEAD A TEAM OF DEVELOPERS IN THE PAST) Project: The initial work is a 3 year (projection) modernization project to re-code their main production system in cutting edge technologies (kubernetes, containerization, etc) For the lead role this person will be the leader of the development team. If Senior Developer they would be part of the team. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field of study. Experience in leading a team of developers through a large multi-year development effort to recode a core business platform. (FOR LEAD ROLE ONLY) Strong /proven experience in front-end development with strong experience in .NET, ASP.NET, C#, JavaScript, Angular/Typescript, C#, Web Services, JQuery, HTML/CSS. Experience with Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Micro Services, API Services, Rabbit MQ, and MSMQ. Experience with Database and Reporting to include SQL, SSIS, SSRS, and PowerBI. Strong experience in analysis and debugging is required. Experience in developing large, complex, interconnected systems on various software platforms.
