Job Title: EDI Developer Location : Dublin, OH Duration: 12+ Months Contract Client: TCS Job description: Strong knowledge of EDI X12 standards and EDI translator tools Preferably IBM Sterling Gentran Experience with EDI mapping, trading partner setup, and EDI communications protocols (AS2, SFTP, HTTPS, etc.) Understanding of supply chain domain. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Work with business units to develop IT strategies and to improve current IT implementations. Define all aspects of development from appropriate technology and workflow to coding standards. Transform software designs and specifications into high functioning computer prototypes using tools specified. Provide the architectural blueprints to the development team. Prepare high-level design of the application and its component based on understating of requirements. Integrate individual software solutions to higher-level systems. Code development & bug fixing. Team and Project management Effort estimation of change request. Logging defects, assigning defects, and providing defects resolution to customers Prioritizes workload, meets deadlines, and manages competing priorities under pressure. Develop & communicated weekly status and trending reports. Education: At least a bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or closely related field is required.
