Job Summary: This position will be responsible for maintaining RedHat Enterprise LINUX (RHEL) in pre-production, production and disaster recovery environments hosted on-prem and in Azure Cloud. The Senior LINUX Engineer will be responsible for enterprise level designing, planning, implementing, and supporting of LINUX/UNIX systems in a highly collaborative and fast paced environment. Responsibilities include identifying and correcting performance issues, and providing support to applications developers, infrastructure teams, DevOps, and endusers. The candidate will be involved in designing automated solutions, process improvement, server provisioning, Capacity and Performance Management, performance monitoring, software installations, technical assistance, server security management, hardware recommendations and procurement. Required Skills: Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information sciences or related field and 8 years of experience. Experience maintaining RedHat Enterprise LINUX (RHEL) in a Production Enterprise environment. In-depth knowledge of VMware administration tools. In-depth knowledge of storage (Disk Storage\\LVM\\SAN\\NFS) connectivity and provisioning. Good scripting and automation techniques (BASH, Chef, Ansible). Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and execute technical project plans. Experience with large scale LINUX Patching Experience with audit and ISO certifications. Experience with orchestration tools. Experience with enterprise managing monitoring. Experience working on an on-premises hosted environment. Good understanding of ITIL and ITSM Management with Infrastructure and Operations teams. Strong Team management skills and ability to inspire team for high performance. Excellent interpersonal / written and verbal communication skills. Experience managing Linux-based workloads in Azure Cloud Experience supporting container-based environments Experience with HP-UX OS support. Experience with HPE ServiceGurad Cluster Management Software. Experience with HPE OneView and server profiles. Knowledge of LINUX Kernel Tunning Some experience deploying virtual machines with VMware vRealize Automation. Experience with PowerShell scripting. Knowledge of LDAP/AD user management.
