| From: Rohit Kumar Bid, Vyze Inc [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Network Security Engineer NYC New York City, New York, FULLY ONSITE (NO RELOCATION) 12+ month contract to hire Vidoe + F2F We are seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer to join our team and take charge of maintaining and enhancing our enterprise IT security infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, with at least 3-5 years of experience in an enterprise IT environment. Key Responsibilities: - Manage authentication services, including AAA policies, Radius, and RSA authentication connections. - Plan and implement firewall image upgrades, ensuring smooth and secure operation. - Configure and manage IDS/IPS profiles to safeguard network integrity. - Perform imaging and restoration of firewalls from the root layer to ensure system resilience. - Establish and manage IPSEC VPNs between local Cisco and FortiGate firewalls, as well as external dissimilar vendor model firewalls/routers. - Configure logical and virtual interfaces for networks sharing security levels, ensuring seamless connectivity. - Monitor and configure SNMP alerts to proactively identify and address network issues. - Apply strong organizational skills and attention to detail in all tasks. - Evaluate design requests for Cyber Security threats and implement necessary measures to mitigate risks. - Lead firewall administration, upgrades, backups, configuration, and diagnostics. - Demonstrate excellent project management, technical writing, and oral communication skills. - Exercise independent judgment, manage complex projects, and represent the organization in dealings with customers and vendors. - Implement VIPs and NAT for external interfaces, enhancing network security and accessibility. - Conduct vulnerability reviews of hardware to identify and address potential security risks. Nice to Have: - Experience with AAA systems (RSA, Radius) and centralized management tools (Cisco Systems Manager, FortiManager). - Knowledge of cloud systems integration, particularly with Azure. - Familiarity with NGFW Threat Management Tools for web-filtering and application filtering. - Proficiency in scripting and automation to streamline network operations. Additional Details: - Position requires fully on-site reporting. - Provide support for all corporate and enclave firewalls, application delivery controllers, RADIUS, and RSA. - Develop and implement firewall changes for supported networks. - Evaluate requested changes for possible Cyber-Security Threats. - Provide 3rd level support to troubleshoot networking issues. - Interact with support-customers to resolve issues and provide solutions as required. - Provide off-hour support as operational needs dictate, including rotating weekly on-call shifts (24-hour on-call support). - Lead and/or manage projects of various priorities in a fast-paced environment. - Provide Design Consultation for projects regarding firewall necessity and configuration. - Develop and execute disaster recovery and test plans for all supported devices. - Prepare support documentation for 1st and 2nd level support groups. - Document and/or revise administration procedures for security, configuration, operation, and administration of devices.
