Junior Azure Security engineer No H1B, CPT Location: Malvern, PA Hybrid 12 months contract Virtual interview Job Description: Responsibilities Provides technical support for cyber threats and threat attack methodologies. Collects and analyzes system data to identify, contain, mitigate, and recover from cyber security threats or incidents. Conducts research and gathers information from global threat intelligence sources, pertaining to emerging cyber threats and threat attack methodologies. As an Azure Forensics Analyst at Vanguard, you will play a critical role in investigating security incidents, analyzing digital evidence, and mitigating cyber threats within Microsoft Azure environments. Leveraging your expertise in digital forensics and Azure cloud technologies, you will work closely with our clients to uncover and remediate security breaches, ensuring the integrity and security of their digital assets and play a valuable role in Cyber Recovery efforts. Key Responsibilities: Incident Response and Forensic Analysis: Conduct digital forensic investigations within Microsoft Azure environments to identify security incidents, unauthorized access, data breaches, and other cyber threats. Utilize forensic tools and techniques to collect, preserve, and analyze digital evidence, including logs, artifacts, network traffic, and virtual machine images. Azure Security Monitoring and Detection: Monitor Azure security logs, alerts, and events to detect anomalous activities and potential security breaches. Develop and implement proactive measures to enhance security monitoring and threat detection capabilities within Azure environments. Vulnerability Assessment and Remediation: Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize and remediate security vulnerabilities identified within Azure environments. Validate closure of vulnerabilities by performing exploit attempts where applicable and appropriate. Incident Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed forensic reports documenting findings, analysis, and recommendations for remediation. Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure a thorough understanding of forensic analysis results and remediation steps. Research and Development: Stay abreast of the latest trends, techniques, and tools in Azure security and digital forensics. Contribute to the development of new methodologies, processes, and tools to enhance Azure forensics capabilities. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Proven experience in digital forensics, incident response, and cybersecurity, with a focus on Microsoft Azure environments. Familiarity with Azure security services, logging mechanisms, and forensic analysis tools. Relevant certifications such as Certified Forensic Examiner (CFE), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), or Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate are a plus.
