This individual will serve as Product Owner for a highly technical solution team that is primarily comprised of java spring boot engineers. The overall assignment is related to replacing a legacy mainframe application by migrating to a hosted solution. The successful candidate will have DIRECT experience leading development team(s) through a similar type of initaitive (on prem mainframe --> hosted platform). This individual will also have practitioner experience leveraging java spring/spring boot as a developer. Deep knowledge of domain-driven design and architecture is required. Knowledge of mortgage/real estate lending is required. Job Description: We are looking for a dynamic individual with a minimum of 7 years of experience in a Product Owner role. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading a highly technical solution team primarily composed of Java Spring Boot engineers. The main focus of this role is to facilitate the migration from a legacy mainframe application to a hosted solution. The ideal candidate should have direct experience leading development teams through similar initiatives, specifically from on-premises mainframe environments to hosted platforms. Additionally, they should possess hands-on experience with Java Spring/Spring Boot development and a deep understanding of domain-driven design and architecture. Knowledge of mortgage/real estate lending is also essential for this position. Technical Skills: Certified Product Owner Experience developing microservices in Java Spring Boot Proficiency in REST API development and best practices Familiarity with containerization (Docker) Experience with 12-factor applications Knowledge of Kafka and Event Streaming Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases (e.g., Postgres, DB2, Oracle) Familiarity with Git and GitHub Understanding of web service integration and/or event streaming technologies such as Kafka Familiarity with software development methodologies Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Keywords: green card |
