Job Title: Big Data Architect Client: Cognizant/Cargill Location: Hopkins - MN (Remote Until Covid) Duration: Long Term Contract Job Description: Experience in Requirements Engineering, Solution Architecture, Design, Development and Deployment A broad set of technical skills and knowledge across hardware, software, systems and solutions development and a across more than one technical domain. Demonstrated experience in real world IT or other solutions environments including creating (on your own or with a team) a product or IT solution in Big Data/Analytics primarily using Cloudera distribution. Strong communication skills including representing Cognizant in industry standards organizations or industry technical forums or events in Cloud Security Strong technical team leadership, mentorship, and collaboration. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical field with atleast 10+ years of IT experience. Proficiency with databases, data warehouse, data management and SQL expertise is Mandatory. Experience building high-quality end-to-end data solutions in an agile environment from requirements through production. Expertise in the following technologies is needed. o Complex Even processing Kafka\Pulsar, Spark Streaming o Batch Processing Hive, Impala, Kudu, Spark, Flink, NiFi, StreamSets, dbt, maven, etc. Experience in Snowflake would be an added advantage. Proficiency in Solution Architecture and expertise in big data processing (ETL) technologies with atleast 3 years is required. Experience in high level programming languages using Scala and Java is mandatory, Python is an added advantage and is not mandatory. Strong analytical skills.
