This role involves assessing and monitoring our IT infrastructure, applications, and operations against regulatory requirements and compliance standards pertinent to the pharmaceutical industry, including HIPAA, HITECH, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GDPR, and others. The successful candidate will collaborate with IT, legal, and operational teams to enhance our compliance posture, manage risks, and ensure ongoing adherence to all regulatory and compliance mandates. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments of IT systems, processes, and controls to identify compliance risks, gaps, and areas for improvement. Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and controls that ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards. Collaborate with IT departments to ensure that digital security systems, data management practices, and software development processes meet compliance requirements. Manage and coordinate IT-related compliance activities, including audits, assessments, and certifications, with internal teams and external auditors or agencies. Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance-related matters, including data protection, cybersecurity best practices, and regulatory requirements. Monitor and report on compliance performance and initiatives to senior management, recommending improvements or corrective actions as needed. Stay abreast of changes in IT compliance regulations and standards, analyzing their impact on the company and leading the integration of necessary changes into existing practices. Assist with investigations into compliance issues, breaches, or violations and participate in the development and implementation of corrective actions and preventative measures. Support the IT compliance risk management process, including risk assessment, mitigation planning, and execution.
