Experience: Ten years of experience in database administration,information technology, database architecture or a related field Experiencewith Linux and Solaris Server environments Extensive experience with SQL and PL/SQL Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle databasemanagement Familiarity with Oracle database design, coding anddocumentation Experience with database backup and recovery proceduresComplexity: Intermediate professional level role. Supports multiple servicesand multiple databases of medium to high complexity (complexity defined bydatabase size, technology used, multiple different systems and interfaces) withmultiple concurrent users, ensuring control, integrity and accessibility ofdata. Works on multiple projects as a project leader or sometimes as a projectadvisor. May coach more junior technical staff. Database Administrator Job Responsibilities: Install and maintain the performance of database servers. Develop processes for optimizing database security. Set and maintain database standards. Manage database access. Performance tuning of database systems. Install, upgrade, patching, and manage databaseapplications. Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors. Engages with development teams throughout the softwarelife cycle ensuring sustainable software releases and monitor applicationperformance with the database Recommend and implement emerging database technologies. Create and manage database reports, visualizations, anddashboards. Capacity Planning Database reorganization planning Performance Tuning Be available for on-call support as needed.
