Analyze and interpret large datasets to identify discrepancies and irregularities in trading data. Develop and maintain Python-based tools and systems for data reconciliation and reporting, with a focus on automation and efficiency. Work closely with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, ensuring alignment with project objectives. Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve trading processes and decision-making. Participate in the design, implementation, and testing phases of transitioning from manual systems to Python-based solutions. Proactively identify and address issues related to data accuracy, integrity, and consistency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, to integrate data analytics solutions into existing systems and processes. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Proven experience as a Data Analyst, with a focus on the Financial Services industry, particularly in Foreign Exchange trading. Proficiency in Python programming language, with experience in developing data analysis and automation scripts. Strong understanding of data reconciliation processes and techniques, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies. Familiarity with trading platforms, market data feeds, and financial instruments in the Foreign Exchange market. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. Experience working in an Agile environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with traders and stakeholders. Prior experience with migrating from manual, Excel-based systems to automated solutions is a plus. Knowledge of database systems (SQL, NoSQL) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is desirable.
