Job Title: Software AG Product Upgrade Expert (System Admins /DBA) REMOTE Position Summary: We're looking for a Software AG Product Upgrade Specialist whos skilled in updating Software AG applications like ADABAS and Natural. You'll be responsible for making sure these applications are running the latest versions. Proven experience with Software AG ADABAS & NATURAL products. Strong knowledge of database management, application development, and integration. Familiarity with mainframe environments and modernization techniques. Main Duties: Plan and carry out upgrades to Software AG products, especially ADABAS and Natural, ensuring a move from older versions to the newest ones. Work closely with IT teams and company stakeholders to ensure upgrades go smoothly without much downtime. Test the systems thoroughly after upgrades to make sure they're stable, fast, and meet all our needs. Offer continuous support, advice, and keep detailed records throughout the project. What We Need from You: Proven background in managing and upgrading Software AG products, with a focus on ADABAS and Natural. Familiarity with specific components like Adabase Caching Facility, Online System, Natural CICS, Optimizer, Security, and TSO is a plus. Experience in upgrading ADABAS databases to version 8.5, NAT to version 8.2.7, PRD to version 8.4.1, and upgrading other system parts to their newest versions. Experience with IBM mainframe Z/OS environment is essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of dealing with complex upgrade tasks efficiently. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with different IT teams and stakeholders.
