SQL programming skills should be denoted via efficient and effective syntax, acceptable peer code reviews, demonstrable product results, and documentation principles. Candidate should be extremely proficient with Data Manipulation Language (DML), Data Query Language, (DQL), and Data Control Language (DCL) as well as data management concepts such as normalization, aggregation, concurrency, and data modeling, to include data interchange formats such as JavaScript Object Notation (JSON). Security driven concepts are top priority in all development and applied against standards set by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Microsoft Trust Center (Azure compliance), Penetration testing, and any internal departmental policies. Strong expertise in Data Modeling - Logical Modeling, Physical Modeling, Relational Modeling, ER Diagrams, Entities, Attributes, Cardinality, Functions, Views, and Triggers. Azure Cloud services, BLOB Storage, DevOps, SQL Data Tools, MS Power Apps, SQL Reporting Services, and MS Power BI are additional resources that the candidate should be highly provisioned for in the implementation of enterprise level services. Extended Experience utilizing the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process alongside the Agile development environment utilizing SRUM framework. Candidate will possess superior communication and documentation skills, strong decision making and organizational attributes along with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Candidate will work closely with Project Management, Application Designers, Peer Data Administrators and Project Owners in workflow and business rule discovery, application design assistance, data modeling, and any applicable project related implementation of process controls. Must also attend and participate in all assigned project meetings. This position reports directly to the section director and may require after business hour availability. It is a requirement that the candidate have full command of the English language in both comprehension and articulation. Position Description: Advanced SQL Server Database Developer responsible for all aspects of database administration and data solutions. This role maintains enterprise level data environments and detailed technical components. Managing stand-alone on-premise and Azure cloud-based data environments observed by competency in complex legacy SQL code modernization and concurrent new development. Ability to intelligently organize and document data processes is a must. Responsible for standards and design of physical data storage, maintenance, access and security administration. Performs backup and recovery on Database Management Systems, configures database parameters, and prototype designs against logical data models, defines data repository requirements, data dictionaries and warehousing requirements. This position optimizes database access and allocates/re-allocates database resources for optimum configuration, database performance and cost. Experience Required: Typically, has10 to 15 years of experience working with various database management systems in database design, testing, implementation, maintenance and administration in a multiple platform environment. Education Required: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field and supporting work experience.
