On-site Requirements: Only local candidates within a commutable distance of 1.5 hours will be considered. The hiring manager is not interested in candidates who require relocation. The position will be hybrid, requiring on-site presence two days a week. Position Details: The Data Warehouse Senior ETL/BI Developer role entails developing, maintaining, and enhancing various automated data warehouse applications on the state of Michigans Teradata Data Warehouse platform. This position collaborates with other data warehouse teams on complex projects and contributes to the review and modification of existing data warehouse policies and practices. Required Skills & Experience: Bachelors degree or equivalent technical study. Minimum 8 years of experience creating Data Warehouse BI applications, including ETL/data mart development, reporting, dashboards, and information analysis and delivery systems. Experience with SQL Assistant/Teradata Studio. Familiarity with Michigan PMM/SUITE/Agile methodology. Proficiency in troubleshooting ETL processes and resolving issues. Experience in data replication using tools like Oracle Golden Gate. End-user training experience. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in collaborating with various stakeholders to define problems and develop effective solutions. Experience in disaster recovery planning and implementation. Additional Skills: Knowledge of SQL, Business Intelligence tools, and relational databases. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software. Experience working with Data Modelers and developers to create effective physical designs. Ability to review and approve test plans and incorporate security requirements into them. Experience with hybrid agile methodologies and project management practices.
