Title: Python Automation QA Tester Location: Minneapolis, MN or Pittsburgh, PA (Remote, Candidate must belong to Strictly these two locations) MOI: Phone/Skype Visa: No H1B/CPT Job Description Responsibilities: Testing and Quality Assurance: Execute testing strategies, including unit testing, functional testing, and integration testing, to ensure the reliability and functionality of translated code and POS Systems. Design and execute test cases to validate the functionality, performance, and reliability of translated code, collaborating with Solution Architect, Product Owners, QA, and TPM. Document and report bugs, defects, and issues, ensuring thorough coverage of test cases and adherence to quality standards. Conduct functional testing, regression testing, and integration testing of translated code, ensuring adherence to project requirements and coding standards. Collaboration: Work closely with development teams, testers, Solution Architect, Product Owners, Devs, QA, and TPM to understand program requirements and objectives for code translation efforts. Assist in verifying bug fixes and enhancements to ensure code quality and reliability. Participate in sprint daily standups, planning and demo meetings, providing insights and recommendations to prioritize and address identified defects and issues. Test Planning and Execution: Participate in test planning and strategy sessions, contributing insights and recommendations to enhance testing processes and workflows. Execute test cases and test scenarios, ensuring comprehensive coverage of functional and non-functional requirements. Defect Management: Identify and document defects, bugs, and issues in translated code and POS, and collaborate with development teams to resolve them in a timely manner. Contribute to reproducing and troubleshooting reported defects and verify fixes and enhancements. Test Automation: Contribute to test automation efforts, including the creation and maintenance of automated test scripts and test frameworks to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency. Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements, tool enhancements, and best practices related to testing and quality assurance. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 2-5 years of experience in software testing, preferably in Python development projects and code translation initiatives. Strong understanding of testing principles and methodologies, with experience in both manual and automated testing. Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks, preferably in Python or similar languages. Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and document defects and issues effectively. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, with strong communication skills. Detail-oriented and self-motivated, with a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions. Preferred Skills: Exposure to Agile development methodologies. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows. Exposure to remote on-prem deployments, troubleshooting, and support. Experience with test management tools. Knowledge of SQL for database testing.
