We're looking for Mid to Senior-level candidates in the metro Detroit area. Position Description: The Technical Applied Research Team (TechART) investigates cutting-edge technologies, such as artificial intelligence and blockchain, for use within the company. This position will be involved in all aspects of applied research: Idea inception and brainstorming Creating rapid prototypes and proof-of-concepts Applicability testing Education & guidance to production and architecture teams Publication of research Skills Required : The ideal candidate will have a background in software development and a familiarity with various technology platforms. The candidate will also have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in order to share research findings with the broader IT community. Experience Required: The ideal candidate will have a varied background in software development and a familiarity with and curiosity about various technology platforms. The candidate will also have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in order to share research findings with the broader IT community. 5+ years of experience in a variety of IT disciplines Experience in programming languages & scripting languages Aptitude for complex IT research, brainstorming, learning new technologies & processes Strong motivation to enjoy learning and creating Experience collaborating within and across teams and Agency employees Experience working with global business and technology partners Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Proven ability to build and maintain strong positive relationships with business, technology partners, and team members Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management Education Required: Bachelors degree or commensurate experience in computer science, cognitive science (cog psych + comp sci), music theory, computational linguistics, or related.
