Role: IT Data Governance SME Job Location: Remote ( San Francisco, CA ) Client Name: Judicial Council Of California Job Qualifications/ Skills: Minimum 5 years required experience in Ability to conduct user research sessions, gather feedback from subject matter experts. Technical project management and documentation skills. Ability to analyze issues from system documentation and recommend solutions. Experience creating policy or governance documents. Excellent oral, written, analytical and communication skills with the ability to lead a technical discussion with both technical and non-technical staff. Excellent analytical, verbal and conflict resolution skills. Create templates to support key use cases for public dashboards using Power BI. Understanding of data automation and data pipelines. Additional Skills/Qualifications Desired: Experience in government (State) setting. Excellent presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences, including creating and presenting executive summaries to management and technical committees. Tasks and Responsibilities: Orienting to the Judicial Councils data assets and the needs for dashboards within the Judicial Council and across the Branch. Work with Public Data Access Program Manager to prioritize use cases for prototypes and reference implementations. Participate in user research sessions with users of JCC data and reporting offerings and assist in developing insights and recommendations for the form and function of JCC dashboards Collaborate with subject matter experts, data stewards, and Power Bi designers on improving the content and design of dashboards for their data. Lead the design and creation of 2-3 Power BI templates that can serve a majority of prioritized use cases for public dashboards, with support from Power Bi experts. Collaborate with the Office of Court Research and the Web Services Team on the performance and accessibility of dashboards in the JCCs Drupal platform as well as on the content and design of the JCC Data Analytics Website. Create and testing documentation to support the adoption of the 2-3 Power BI templates within the Office of Court Research, Judicial Council Divisions Communicate project activities, performance and status. Complete monthly status reports.
