Role: DataStage developer Location: Lebanon, NJ (Onsite) Job Description: Role Description: Take lead in Analysis, requirement understanding and design. Ability to understand the requirements from Functional Technical Spec. Development of ETL components using DataStage. Manage work and apply various performing techniques. Understand the existing framework and develop/fine tune the jobs accordingly. Coordinate with QA team and sort out the issue during testing. Schedule/Plan the work item based on business priority. Should take complete ownership of SDLC. Strong skills in Oracle or relevant RDBMS, should have sound knowledge in writing SQL queries with Joins and sub queries. Requirements Should have a minimum 6 to 8 years of experience in ETL design and development using IBM DataStage Components. Should be proficient in SQL, including analytic functions. Should be able to understand the existing jobs and fine tune jobs that run for a long time. Should be able able to attain an end-to-end understanding of source and target. Life Insurance Domain experience is preferred, but not must. Must have good Communication & Presentation skills. Should be able to perform and/or participate in requirement analysis, impact analysis, design, development, artifact reviews, testing and implementation of change requests. Should be able to communicate with different applications and systems to understand dependencies and impact. Test and coordinate changes. Conduct review of all the deliverable system documents, code and test plans to ensure the quality is up to standards. Should be able to carry out Implementation and Post-implementation activities and take care of deployment and performance measurement. Should have sound leadership skills and should have worked in an onsite-offshore model. Essential Skills: We are looking for an IBM Infosphere Sr. DataStage resource.
