The role involves modernizing a series of mainframe solutions, with a focus on design, technical leadership, and adherence to project roadmap. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Javascript, Typescript, Node.js, and AWS services, along with a strong background in Agile development methodologies. Responsibilities: Lead the modernization efforts of mainframe solutions, ensuring alignment with project roadmap and technical requirements. Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, addressing technical roadblocks and challenges. Implement Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices and promote pair programming within the team. Utilize Typescript for both implementation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of projects. Requirements: Must-Haves: 7+ years of experience in Javascript, especially Typescript. 5+ years of experience with AWS services and cloud development. 4+ years of experience working in an Agile Environment. 2+ years of experience with Node.js. Proven experience mentoring junior software engineers. Proficiency in Test Driven Development across multiple platforms. Familiarity with Paired Programming. Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field such as Computer Science, Computer Information, or Software Engineering. Nice-to-Have: Excellent communication skills.
