Please let me know your interest in the below role- Title: Cybersecurity Consultant Location: Long Beach, CA ( Hybrid, LOCAL to Long Beach or Orange County only) Duration: 12+ Months Visa: USC,GC, GCEAD,H4EAD & OPT Interview Mode: Video Work Schedule: This is a hybrid work schedule, allowing up to 2 days per week remote, and 3 days per week onsite in the greater Los Angeles area. The individual must be available and responsive to calls, emails, console access, and technical assignments between 8 AM and 5 PM Monday through Friday. Note: They are only accepting candidates with an active, expired, or testing soon for CISSP certification. CISSP Certification is a MUST. This person must be 100% hands on managing all security tools, assessing current security controls, standards, policies and if needed implement new security tools to comply with ISO 27001 and NIST security frameworks. A large southern California education institution is seeking a Cybersecurity consultant to lead the agencys cybersecurity program and initiatives. The individual will be required to research, evaluate, recommend and implement cybersecurity systems, processes and products as well as provide training and guidance to staff. This position is highly technical and hands-on. This individual must be knowledgeable in cybersecurity theory and best practices, the NIST and CIS frameworks, MS-ISAC tools and resources, incident response planning and coordination. Effective communication skills are necessary as is the ability to work as part of a team in a large and diverse environment.
