Role: Sr. Tester Location: Albany, New York Duration: 9 Months Job ID: HBITS-05-13354 Client: NY State Respond by Date: 04/04/24 5:00 PM Description This tester will work in the Quality Assurance team in the Albany, NY location. The candidate will have responsibilities to coordinate user acceptance testing, test applications, track all testing activities during the life cycle of the assigned project, report updates to management, as well as day to day tasks defined for this position. Duties Operating under the direction of ITS staff, the candidate will: Provide guidelines, reviews, and support to developers and business analysts by creating functional tests to test applications built by developers. Perform testing activities, including UI automation, integration testing, and functional testing. Develop Test cases per the Business Rules to perform or direct others on testing requirements. Review and provide guidance on the test scope and output of testers performing testing. Facilitate, record and capture information from demos and user experience sessions. Create status reporting mechanisms to monitor the status of the above activities. Host integration discussions, with representatives of all test teams, identify and help resolve roadblocks. Ensure that requirements and deliverables are verified and validated at each testing phase and final acceptance. Prepare test protocols and reports which meet regulatory requirements, during the final test cycle. Help keep test processes streamlined for efficiency. Be the primary advocate for the adoption of methodologies which are appropriate for the project. Use Microsoft office tools for testing activities and communications with team members and management. Mandatory Requirements Experience (10+ Years) Conducts automated and manual tests to ensure that the software created/upgraded performs as necessary and meets the user requirements. Develops and maintains user and technical documentation and project process documentation for application teams. Understands the view of applications and/or technology and can put procedures in a logical sequence. Requirements This is an 100% Onsite 84 Months experience as the lead project tester working on highly technical projects that required over 5 thousand hours of resource time. 84 Months of experience planning, designing, developing, and executing test plans based on business requirements and functional specifications. 84 Months of experience coordinating, tracking, and analysing testing activities. 84 Months of experience creating client/user test plans and managing User Acceptance Testing. 84 Months of experience working with at least 2 functional testing tools. Examples would be Micro-Focus UFT, Python. Experience must include the design, build, coding, and execution of automated test functions. 84 Months of experience in using Microfocus / HP Application Lifecycle Management/Quality Centre. 84 Months experience in creating SQL queries to validate correct back-end processing. 12 Months of experience using Microsoft office tools for communication and daily tasks.
