The QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our Azure-based ETL processes and data pipelines. Your role will involve creating test plans, developing test cases, executing tests, and collaborating with our development team to address any identified issues.What Gets You The Job: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience in IT roles, with at least 3 years of relevant experience in Azure ETL QA and test plan/test case writing. Strong experience with SQL queries. Proficiency creating test environments and plans within an Azure ETL/data environment, including experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Azure Functions, and Azure Containers. Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git. Nice to have: Previous experience in the retail industry.What You Will Do: Develop and execute test plans and test cases for Azure-based ETL processes, utilizing tools such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, and Azure Functions. Identify, analyze, and document software defects, working closely with developers to resolve issues in a timely manner. Coach and support team members in utilizing testing tools, reporting results, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality of data solutions and drive continuous improvement in testing practices. Maintain thorough documentation of test procedures, results, and any necessary updates. Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on code quality and testability.
