Job Title: Senior Power BI Developer (Python & Finance/Banking experience) Location: Hartford, CT/ New York, NY (Hybrid Locals only) Job Type: Contract Overview: Seeking a Senior Power BI Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in Power BI, particularly in developing paginated reports, migrating reports from SSRS and Crystal Reports to Power BI, and creating visually appealing dashboards and visualizations. The candidate should have a strong understanding of SQL Server and be comfortable working in a hybrid work environment. While not mandatory, experience or knowledge in Python and a background in Finance would be advantageous. Responsibilities: Develop paginated reports using Power BI. Work with SQL Server to extract and manipulate data for reporting purposes. Design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI. Migrate SSRS reports to Power BI. Migrate a significant number of Crystal reports to Power BI. Implement scheduling for automated report generation and distribution. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand business needs. Provide technical expertise and support to end-users. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Proven experience working with Power BI, including paginated reports development. Strong proficiency in SQL Server and querying databases. Experience with creating dashboards, reports, and visualizations. Familiarity with SSRS and Crystal Reports. Ability to migrate SSRS and Crystal Reports to Power BI. Knowledge of scheduling reports for automated generation and distribution. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment. Nice to Have: Proficiency in Python programming language. Background in Finance or related domain.
