They are converting their Cisco Network to an Arista Network. You candidate needs to be a lead or manager. Someone who can manage this process not just a worker. Managers Notes: If you possess a solid CCIE; will reimburse the candidate to train in Arista Congenial, not an introvert Not a huge network but it is a very complex one Current person in this role travels in from DC; they need someone local to RVA Will have 3+ months to allow for some shadow training Security experience - should have Palo Alto, Network Security, and Network Monitoring Must understand packet capture Must understand OSI model 5 locations - 2 Data Centers and 3 Campus Offices 10% of this role will be caring and feeding Manager feels there are only 5 Arista people locally so of course he would love an Arista person but getting someone with a CCIE is acceptable Responsibilities: You will provide advanced engineering support for Arista's Open Networking Data Center and Campus networking deployments Review network designs for an EVPN, VxLAN, and leaf-spine architecture and make recommendations for deployment, upgrades, enhancements, or improvements as required Deploying and maintaining Arista's Network Packet Broker solutions Migrate or interconnect to/from Cisco, Juniper, and other vendors to Arista infrastructure Assist with configuration buildouts including creating network provisioning automation using Python and tools such as Chef or Ansible Assist with implementation and change controls You will assist with proof of concepts (POC) and in-depth testing to validate design scenario Interfaces with Arista TAC Translate complex business requirements into Leaf-Spine Network solutions Continues technology, security, and networking training to maintain expertise Ability to understand business objectives and technical needs Ability to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for VRS networking infrastructure Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment Maintain professional relationships with teammates, partners, and business teams Some travel may be required to Dallas, TX Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent Network Industry Certification preferred Arista ACE 4 or above Expert working knowledge of CloudVision Experience with Arista (preferably) or other commercial Wi-Fi platform 5+ years' working experience with network technologies including network design and deployments of Campus and Data Center networks. Knowledge of leaf-spine architectures is critical. Expert knowledge in the following areas: Ethernet, VLANs, VxLAN, EVPN, IP Routing, TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, eBGP, Multicast, QoS, Wi-Fi, NPB Expertise in at least one area of Data Center related technologies - Openstack, SDN, NFV, Load Balancers, Virtualization, Linux tools Background in Perl, Python, and Scripting for creating network automation is highly desired Palo Alto and NetScaler experience highly desirable Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills Excellent written skills and the ability to do related documentation and ticket tracking Keywords: information technology Texas Virginia Wisconsin NetworkEngineer Lead OR Manager with Active CCIE certification [email protected] |
