Type : Contract JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsibilities would involve: 1. Racking and stacking of equipment - Servers, Storage, Network devices 2. Cabling, cut-sheet maintenance and maintenance of cables that connect the different equipments in a data center 3. Maintaining an orderly data center environment 4. Checking if the DC dc facilities such as cooling and power are working properly 5. When there is a major production incident (application and systems down), it may require presence in the data center to provide eyes in DC, and execute on actions such as swapping out a cable, powering on a server etc. 6. Accompanying a visiting equipment service engineer, to help identify the correct location of the equipment to be serviced, and monitoring the activity as per standard operating procedures Job requirements: You will work as part of a team of three, providing 24x7 support. This will involve 8x5 on-seat support during the week, and on-call support for critical incidents on some days. During On-call, you will be on stand-by in the event of an incident/change that requires physical presence in the data center, with the expectation that you will be at site within 30 minutes.
