JOB DESCRIPTION: "Key Responsibilities: 1. API Development: Design, develop, and implement high-performance and reliable APIs using Java and the Akana API Management platform. Collaborate with architects and other developers to ensure seamless integration of APIs into existing systems. 2. Akana API Management: Utilize the Akana API Management platform to create, deploy, and manage APIs effectively. Configure and customize Akana API Gateway to meet specific project requirements. 3. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, QA engineers, and product owners, to ensure successful delivery of API solutions. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality. 4. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for APIs, ensuring that it is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders. 5. Troubleshooting and Debugging: Identify and resolve issues related to API performance, security, and integration. Conduct debugging and troubleshooting as needed to address technical challenges. 6. Security: Implement and adhere to security best practices in API development and management. Collaborate with security teams to ensure APIs comply with organizational security policies. 7. Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of APIs to ensure responsiveness and efficiency. 8. Stay Current with Technology Trends: Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices related to Java development and Akana API Management. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as a Java Developer with a focus on Akana API Management. Strong knowledge of Java programming language and related technologies. Hands-on experience with the Akana API Management platform. Familiarity with RESTful API design principles. Experience in troubleshooting and debugging API-related issues. Knowledge of security best practices in API development. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications: Akana API certification. Experience with other API management platforms. Familiarity with microservices architecture.
