As the lead, you will play a crucial role in transforming our data architecture from COSMOS to Azure Synapse SQL and Azure managed services stack, while transitioning from a traditional data warehouse to a data mesh architecture. You will be responsible for providing data architectural planning for our data management platform and solution modernization efforts, as well as conducting implementation roadmap planning and designing Agile User Stories with technical specifications. Collaboration with the Lead Data Architect, Solutions Architect, and technical experts will be essential to success in this role. Key Responsibilities: Lead data architecture design to transition from COSMOS to Azure Synapse SQL and Azure managed services stack Drive the transition from a traditional data warehouse to a data mesh architecture Provide data architectural planning for data management platform and solution modernization Design Agile User Stories with technical specifications for implementation roadmap planning Coordinate with technical teams including Lead Data Architect, Solutions Architect, and technical experts Create and manage Pharos Pipelines for data processing and integration Create and manage Nitros Pipelines for data analysis and insights generation Lead end-to-end onboarding to Copilot along with Prompt engineering team Required Competencies: 4-6 years of experience in Microsoft Fabric Strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric components including Copilot, Azure Synapse, Pharos, and Nitros Proven track record in data architecture design and implementation Experience with Agile methodologies and User Story creation Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Desirable Skills: Familiarity with other Azure managed services Experience with data mesh architecture principles Knowledge of modern data management platforms and technologies Understanding of DevOps practices in data engineering Previous experience in leading data architecture transformations Keywords: Washington Microsoft Fabric Lead Data Engineer -Bellevue, WA [email protected] |
