Job Description: Please send candidates who meet or exceed the Below experience: We are seeking a skilled Akamai Specialist to join our team and manage the deployment of web applications to our Akamai Edge Security Infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and secure delivery of web content to end-users by configuring and optimizing Akamai solutions. The ideal candidate will have certification in Akamai technology or relevant experience as an Akamai Edge Security Specialist, Akamai WAF Engineer, or Akamai Security Configuration Engineer. Responsibilities: Deploy and configure web applications on the Akamai Edge Security Infrastructure. Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of web applications with Akamai solutions. Implement and optimize Akamai security features, including Web Application Firewall (WAF) rulesets, access controls, and security configurations. Monitor and analyze web traffic patterns to identify and mitigate security threats and performance issues. Troubleshoot and resolve Akamai-related issues in a timely manner. Stay updated on emerging Akamai technologies and best practices to continuously improve web application delivery and security. Provide technical expertise and support to internal teams and clients on Akamai-related matters. Document deployment processes, configurations, and best practices for knowledge sharing and future reference. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Certification in Akamai technology (e.g., Akamai Certified Professional) or equivalent experience. Proven experience as an Akamai Edge Security Specialist, Akamai WAF Engineer, or Akamai Security Configuration Engineer. Strong understanding of web application architecture, protocols, and security principles. Proficiency in configuring and optimizing Akamai solutions, including Akamai Edge Servers, Web Application Firewall (WAF), and Akamai Security Configuration. Experience with Akamai CLI, APIs, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and integration tasks. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with other CDN platforms and cloud security services. Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of DDoS mitigation techniques and strategies. Experience with web application performance optimization techniques. Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements related to web security (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR).
