Position: Lead JAVA Backend Engineer - HYBRID-Broadway, New York, NY 10019 NO H1B Location: HYBRID-Broadway, New York, NY 10019 Duration: 6+ Month Job description: NOTE: Relocation can work. About the job *** Must have experience leading a Team of at least 10 developer and must be primarily on the backend side with Java, we are not looking for a Full stack person*** Required Skills & Experience * Expert-level experience in Java (8 or above) and object-oriented design and development * Expert-level experience in web technologies across client/server-side (JS, CSS, HTML5, React) * Experience Leading a Team of 10+ Full-Stack Developers * Strong knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture/RESTful services * Expert-level experience in relational database design and development (SQL, Sybase) * Strong knowledge of UNIX/Linux environments * Bachelor's degree in computer science, with 8 to 10 years of professional development experience, and at least 4+ years of Financial Services industry experience Nice to Have Skills & Experience * Any experience working with Snowflake databases and Snowflake data sharing will be a plus. * Any experience working with unstructured data management tools. * Excellent problem-solving skills, goal-oriented, self-motivated and adapts to changing situations and requirements. * Any experience working with Python AI/ML libraries will be a plus. * Implementation experience in Cloud Based platforms will be a plus, especially any Azure experience or certifications. * Working knowledge of Python, especially AI/ML libraries would be desired. * Should be willing to try hands-on with newly evolving technologies. * Expert-level experience in Python and object-oriented design and development Job Description The right candidate (Responsibilities): * Manages small to medium scale strategic initiatives/projects, enhances process standards and best practices, and support escalations for production systems. * Has excellent analytical and problem-solving skills that are coupled with strong communication; anticipates issues and deals with them proactively. * Demonstrates a passion for technology innovation balanced with a pragmatic approach to developing and deploying solutions that best benefit the business. * Strong interpersonal skills and good team spirit is required in addition to proficiency in verbal and written business communication. * Enhance the process standards and best practices and support L3 issues for currently live systems. * Collaborates with Tech team members as well business stakeholders to understand requirements, application solution, development, testing and rollout.
