Requirement We are seeking an MS SQL DBA for an on-site contract assignment in downtown Houston with our Fortune 500 client. Role will be responsible for support and routine database tasks (i.e. database restores, installation and configuration, etc.) based on provided set of standards, including the duties listed below: Management of SQL databases in non-production and production environments. Write/manage scripts in T-SQL, PowerShell and DOS batch. Utilize ticketing system. Assist on any database issues regarding application deployments/changes/functionality in real time environments. Resolve database integrity, performance, blocking, connectivity, and high availability issues. Database backup/recovery and capacity monitoring. Support DevOps related database pipelines and Cloud database initiatives, as needed Qualifications (Must have listed on resume to be considered): 3+ year of MS SQL database administration experience Write/manage scripts in Transact SQL (T-SQL), PowerShell and DOS batch MS SQL Server 2022/2019/2017 & 2016 Qualifications (Nice to have): Experience with other database RDBMs (i.e. Postgres, Redis, Mongo). HA/Failover experience Operational automation using Python or Ansible scripting DevOps and Cloud platform experience Interview: Should be 1, maybe 2 at most, virtual interviews (ie Zoom) They may want them onsite for interview, but likely virtual But, really looking for candidates in Houston.
