From: Shane, Abdisolutions [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Job Description Position Description: LifePRO Product Subject Matter Expert (SME) Contract Duration: through 12/31/2024 with potential for extension Location: Remote, CST time zone preferred Visa Restrictions: None (H1Bs must be held by your firm, no subcontractors or sister companies) Top 3 Must Have Skills: LifePRO product experience - 5+ years (they would have these skillsets if worked in LifePRO: Core java; oracle; JSQL, P&C Insurance; Mainframe - Cobol and other mainframe tools) Life and Annuity domain/ functional knowledge Exposure to offshore/ onshore model Role Overview: As the LifePRO Product SME, you will assume the pivotal role of leading specialized platform development initiatives. You will serve as the primary onshore point of contact, collaborating closely with client architects and business stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes. Your responsibilities will span from solution design discussions to technical mentoring of development teams, while actively addressing functional issues and driving continuous improvement across all project phases. Key Responsibilities: Actively engage in solution design discussions with client architects and business stakeholders. Lead project teams and facilitate collaboration between business and technology stakeholders. Provide technical mentorship and guidance to developers, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing. Collaborate with team members to address technical and functional challenges, ensuring effective resolution. Participate in release planning meetings with customers and prioritize requirements in alignment with IT and Business teams. Analyze functional specifications and conduct technical impact assessments. Prepare estimates and timelines for various project activities, guiding developers in task execution. Facilitate technical design document walkthroughs with stakeholders and obtain necessary approvals. Develop and unit test code, conduct peer code reviews, and make necessary code changes to integration touchpoints. Prepare unit test cases, test logs, and peer review logs to ensure code quality and reliability. Provide support for defect fixing during function testing, SIT, and UAT phases. Assist in the implementation and deployment of code in production environments. Monitor alerts and promptly report any issues that may impact business operations significantly. Take ownership of monitoring, analyzing, and troubleshooting production problems, implementing corrective actions as needed. Design and implement application monitoring solutions to enhance availability and performance in production environments. Conduct root-cause analysis and propose corrective actions as necessary. Support program management activities, including regular status reporting and escalation of challenges and risks. Adhere to established processes for issue handling and escalation, maintaining comprehensive logs of all issues and resolutions. Ensure timely delivery of all assigned tasks, incidents, requests, and problem tickets. Identify and implement batch improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 10-13 years of total information technology/software development experience. 5+ years of experience with LifePro product implementation and customization. Proficiency in Java, Oracle, JSQL, P&C Insurance, and Mainframe tools. In-depth knowledge of the Life and Annuity domain. Experience working within the onshore/offshore model. Strong interpersonal and customer-facing skills. Demonstrated ability in design and architecting using relevant technologies. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
