| Cybersecurity Engineer NYC,NY Role Description: The Cyber Security IAM Professional is responsible for ensuring the security, integrity, and confidentiality of organizational data and resources by managing identity and access controls. This role involves implementing, maintaining, and optimizing Identity and Access Management systems and processes to mitigate security risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The IAM Professional will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enforce access policies, conduct access reviews, and respond to security incidents related to identity and access management. Key Responsibilities: Implement and administer Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions to manage user identities, access privileges, and authentication mechanisms. Design and enforce access control policies, procedures, and standards to safeguard sensitive data and resources. Conduct access reviews and audits to ensure compliance with internal security policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. Develop and maintain IAM documentation, including access control matrices, user provisioning workflows, and identity lifecycle management processes. Configure and manage authentication mechanisms such as Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and privileged access management (PAM) solutions. Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to define role-based access control (RBAC) models and entitlement management strategies. Monitor IAM systems for security incidents, anomalies, and unauthorized access attempts, and respond to security alerts in a timely manner. Conduct security assessments, penetration tests, and vulnerability scans to identify and remediate security weaknesses in IAM infrastructure. Provide technical expertise and support to IT teams and end-users regarding IAM technologies, best practices, and security controls.
