Job Description - Need only 2 Profiles and local only Client: Galen College Job Title: Power BI Developer Location: Louisville KY Visa: CITIZEN,GC EAD,GREEN CARD,H4 EAD Need only local candidates Position Goal: The PowerBI Developer works closely with various departments inside the college, gathering requirements, preparing data for reporting, building dashboards, building data models, analyzing datasets, and administration of Power BI tools. Their main duty is to transfer raw data into meaningful insights by creating interactive and user-friending dashboard and reports. This role is to help track performance and support decision making that impact the business. The ideal candidate is an independent thinker and has a strong background with SQL and relational database concepts proficiency and demonstrated experience with report writing tools. Position Responsibilities: To understand business stakeholders' objectives in BI Context and design data model to the metrics and raw data into meaningful insights To identify KPIs with clear objectives and monitor them consistently. To develop visual interactive reports and dashboards using various tools such as SQL, Power BI, or similar tools To design, develop, and deploy Power BI scripts and perform efficient detailed analysis To perform DAX queries and functions in Power BI To create charts and document data with algorithms, parameters, models, and relations explanations To conduct data warehouse development To perform SQL querying for best results To use filters and graphs for a be\\er understanding of the data To define and design new systems by analyzing current ETL processes To make technical changes to existing BI systems in order to enhance their functioning To create technical documentation for necessary reporting and data requests on an as needed To train analysts and business users on report usage and interpretation Other duties as assigned Position Requirements: Associate degree in computer science or information system along with work experience in a related field Experience: This role requires extensive knowledge and exper/se in business intelligence, databases, and technical aspects of BI tools. Degree of Supervision: Minimal. Special Skills & Qualification: Over two years of experience in data prepara/on, data gateway, and data warehousing projects 2. Over two years of experience working with the Microso4 Business Intelligence Stack (Power BI, SSAS, SSRS, and SSIS) 3.
