Role : Software Engineer Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL (REMOTE) Duration: Long Term Contract KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Participate in software design, development, and deployment activities. Ensure data security and compliance with organizational standards. Monitor and adapt to technological changes impacting system security Collaborate with stakeholders to meet project objectives. Engage in Agile methodologies for software development. Fill gaps in development as required and demonstrate a willingness to learn new technologies. Support project management activities as needed. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 1-3 years of software engineering experience. Proficiency in Java/Scala programming. Familiarity with AWS services and deploying data solutions on cloud platforms. Experience with Microservice architecture and event-driven systems like Kafka. Knowledge of Go language is desirable. Have a background in back-end technologies, including API Rest Interfaces & SQL. Experience working with healthcare data, including but not limited to eligibility, claims, payments, and risk adjustment datasets. Strong programming/debugging skills, with a hands-on approach Relevant certifications in AWS or software engineering would be a plus. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, rules and regulations affecting Company. Responsible for participating in quality assurance, compliance and in-service and continuing education activities as requested by Company. Responsible for performing other duties and responsibilities as required. Requirements KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Strong proficiency in Java/Scala. Good understanding of AWS services, containerized deployments, and Kubernetes Experience in healthcare data domains, including eligibility, claims, payments, and risk adjustment datasets. Ability to adapt to changing technological environments. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Commitment to quality assurance and accuracy in work product. Capacity to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines effectively. Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Willingness to contribute ideas for process improvement in software engineering.
